59, Newington Green Road,

London, UK N1 4QU

Tube : Highbury & Islington
Train : Canonbury Station

The Alma is situated in Newington Green, close to both Islington and Stoke Newington. The pub is divided in two sections with one side for table service dining and the other for more casual dining and drinking.

The Pub has a comfortably homely feel with mismatched furniture, red & aubergine walls, massive leather sofas, Maori art, fireplace and church candles.

It is run by Kirsty Valentine the General Manager, who prides herself on quality not quantity. The food is best described as home style cooking, fresh and seasonal with modern British influences. The menu changes daily and everything is prepared in their huge kitchen, right down to the bread, chutneys, ice creams & sloe gin for the bar.

The Alma has a New Zealand Tuck Shop selling goodies that a native kiwi craves away from home such as Watties Tomato Sauce, Chocolate Slab, Jet Planes, Minties & Pineapple lumps; Kirsty is herself a Kiwi and ought to know it better than anyone else.

Children, Dogs, Weddings and Birthday parties all are welcome!
