“The Insatiable Moon is a NZ feature film to be shot in Ponsonby in coming months. The film, adapted from the novel of the same name, stars Rawiri Paratene, Sara Wiseman and Ian Mune. When the project was denied production funding by the NZ Film Commission, the producers decided to make it anyway, drawing on supporters who have contributed private equity.”

The Insatiable Moon is a feel-good story about a psychiatric patient who believes himself to be the second son of God, and sets out to save his world. It’s a tale of fun, passion, imagination, drama, and the triumph of the little people against the forces which grind them down.

The opportunity for investment is still available. Investors are in the prime first-out position, receive a 10% premium on their investment, are eligible for a 100% write-off of their investment in the year the film is released, and receive other benefits depending on the size of the investment. These include set visits, tickets to various parties and the film premiere.

The low budget film (approx. $350k for shoot) means that investors will recoup quickly from returns. The film is being prepared for 35mm theatrical release internationally. If you are interested in investment, please email ism@fylm.co.nz for further information.
